Cookies, cookies, cookies! Winter is coming; and along with it, the beautiful weekends when we watch the latest seasons of your favorite TV shows, tucked under the warm covers of our beds. With healthy oat cookies and a cup of hot tea, winter experience is complete!
First of all, I apologize for the long absence. Classes started, along with other obligations (and there’s also my laptop, who’s in for repair), so the possibility of my frequent writing reduced – but don’t you think for a second that I’m quitting blogging ! 🙂
The lack of time is probably something each of you experience on a daily basis. Modern times make us want to do everything faster, fulfil all of our obligations in a shorter time. Inspired by this, I managed to whip up these fast, tasty oat cookies. The recipe is simple, and most of the ingredients you already have at home. Also, the recipe is derived from (internet) famous recipe, the so-called “Two ingredient cookie”, whose ingredients are only a banana and a cup of oats. Therefore, I urge you; if you miss certain ingredients in this recipe, replace them with the ones you do have; add nuts, seeds, dried fruit, dark chocolate chunks or anything else that comes to your mind! Be creative :)!
Ingredients for Quick Guilt-Free Oat Cookies:
1 cup oats
1/3 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 tbsp sesame seeds
a pinch of salt
In a bowl, mash the banana. Add oats, sesame seeds, and salt and mix well until combined. Lastly, add the maple syrup and the cinnamon to the mixture. Bake at 150°C (302°F) for about 10-12 minutes.
